Opposition BJP, Shiv Sena and a few other political parties demanded immediate action against Union Minority Affairs Minister AR Antulay, saying he has lost all moral rights to continue in his post after strengthening Paksitan’s case by his “irresponsible” and “unwarranted” remarks. The MPs stormed the well of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, forcing the houses to adjourn.

Some opposition MPs went on to say that Antulay must be tried for treason, as he has weakened India’s case in the Mumbai terror attacks vis-a-vis Pakistan. Meanwhile, the government has decided to come up with a statement on Antulay’s remarks in Rajya Sabha tomorrow. It is not yet clear whether Congress will ask Antulay to go in the wake of growing public sentiment over this issue.
